Dr. Mary L. Wade,Ph.D, is an Author, Poet and Counselor, she says that "we all have holes in our heart, indeed, holes in our soul. The holes are the wear and tear of heartaches and disappointments that we have learned to live with, but yet prevent us from living fully, and comfortably with ourselves, and therefore with others. These holes draw in our joy and expel it as sadness. They draw in our excitement for life, and expel out our despair and depression. These holes interfere with our growing into wholeness, connecting with others and ourselves in a healthy way, most of all, they prevent our living with joy and peace of God. From Holes to Wholeness draws upon the illuminating power of God's light to remove the power of holes over our lives."

Dr. Wade has published several books which include I Am Free, The Reality of Man, Sisterin' in the Light of the Spirit, But for the Touch and Touching the Dream- Poems and Prayers for Obama and the Nation.
